Below are some benefits I listed followed by the response I got to each:
Being in shape leads to better sleep. No, it doesn't.
Improves self esteem. Maybe in those with poor self esteem, who can't find it elsewhere.
Reduces blood pressure. Exercise doesn't inherently do this.
Decreases back pain, reduces risk of injury. It can also do the opposite.
Prevents certain cancers. It also makes certain cancers more likely.
Increases metabolic rate. This isn't necessarily a good thing.
Increases range of motion. It can also significantly decrease range of motion.
Improves balance and coordination. Working on your balance and coordination do this, not exercise in general.
Reduces anxiety and depression. Reduces depression, sure, while you're exercising. It won't do jack for anxiety though.
Strengthens your immune system. Nope.
Improves focus. Nope.
Improves energy levels. Maybe sometimes - it also decreases energy levels.
Improves confidence. You live longer. Sometimes, and not necessarily
