I'm new to the gym (20 ,F, 5'4 ,about 145lbs) and I was planning on losing some weight before working on building muscle, by doing HIIT and lifting light weights. I know you can't build muscle and lose weight at the same time. If I didn't lose weight and lifted heavier weights would my fat turn into muscle or would it just hide it?
