Hi r/fittness, first time poster*
I'm doing a lot of 1-2 hour walks with no added load and regular shoes. Soon I wish to add either a weight belt/ weight vest / hiking pack.
I was able to understand a lot to do with running after reading http://ift.tt/1pOjodm
I'm curious if there is a similar resource anyone has that covers walking or hiking. I want to be more enlightened before I invest in food wear or do something that isn't smart when I start to add weight.
Form, posture and flexibility are very important to me.
Thank you for any help.
- I spent half an hour searching for an answer to this in the past posts and wiki, please let me know if I missed something or didn't do the right thing.
I am Australian, male, 31, 170cm, 70kg, I have short but broad feet, particularly broad across the toes and distal heads of the metatarsals. A podiatrist told me I have no issue with arches or pronation/supernation of the feet.
