Hey r/fitness,
So I'm a guy in my mid 20's who has been working out with various degrees of intensity since around the age of 16. My issue is that recently I have been experiencing muscular injuries to my back with increasing frequency. These injuries present as pulled muscles and have occured due to activity as mild as bending down to pet a friend's dog. The problem seems to be getting worse despite stretching frequently.
If I had to guess I would say the problem stems from an imbalance between the front and rear of my core. I generally use bodyweight routines at home as I have seldom access to a gym these days.
Im reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced this problem in the past and has any ideas on what I can do to fix it. Also any full core exercises that I can do at home aside from planks are also welcome.
I appreciate any help and y'all keep on being awesome.
