Hello /r/Fitness,
I've always been in above average shape but, my commitment to the gym has been very relaxed lately and I want to correct that. I am a very analytical and I prefer, when I do something, to maximize my potential.
My question to you is, in your opinion, when is the best time to go to the gym? Is it early morning before work, or in the evening, before bed?
I am a 42 year old male, 6'2" and 220lbs. I don't smoke or drink. My goal is to maximize and strengthen my core, and cut about 10 - 15% body fat. I also want to increase my endurance. My workout routine is mostly crossfit, running and martial arts. I would like to reach my goal by January 2018, as I have entered myself in an international fighting competition. Any suggestion on timing for workout and other advice would be greatly appreciated.
