I'm in a hotel for the next month with a crappy gym (no barbells, highest DB's are 80).
Main goal atm is to get to the 1000lb club with bench, squat, and deadlift. Considering doing anything legs related is difficult, squat and deadlift is a wash. But upper body, I can get a decent workout through the DB's, using 10-15 rep sets.
I ask this because for the past year or so, I haven't touched high rep sets and instead focused on sets of 3-8 or so. I'm hoping that following a high rep approach of 10-15 reps, I'll be tapping into untapped training stimulus, where I can target some hypertrophy (at least in the upper body) in order to help my bench when I come back to a barbell gym later on. I'm not concerned so much about my leg size since it's been easy to bring up compared to upper body.
Or should I bite the bullet and buy a monthly membership nearby and continue the programming I had before?

For strength purposes, would crappy hotel gym be sufficient? posted first on your-t1-blog-url
